I am 41 years old (almost 42). I've had 3 failed IVF cycles. They have all started out great and then they go south. I have lots and lots of follicles on my ovaries and my day 3 FSH is only 3. I respond very well to low dose stim meds (10 lupron, 75 follistim, 75 menopur), and I retrieve lots of eggs. Here's my cycles:
IVF 1: 15 eggs retrieved, 9 fertilized, 4 fair/5 poor. Transfered 4 on day 3. No implantation
IVF 2: 28 eggs retrieved, 19 fertilized, 1 good/several fair/some poor. Trasfered 3 on day 5. No implantation.
IVF 3: 19 eggs retrieved, 11 fertilized, 6 good/3 fair/2 poor. All embryos arrest on day 4 or 5 except 1, but did PGD on that one and it was missing a chromosome so doctor wouldn't implant.
I know I'm older, and although I have no problem with egg quantity, I can't seem to get pregnant. Do I just have bad eggs? Is it time to try donor eggs?

Hi amycakes, just wandering if you have had any luck since with your pregnancy journey? I too am 41.5 and have just finished my 3rd ivf cycle with no pregnancy. Don't have as many eggs as you but same patterns of development.
