Success Story: Stage4 Endometreosis & IVF
In 1999 I was diagnoised with stage 4 non cancerous endometreosis and had surgery. The disease destroyed one of my ovaries. After trying to get pregnant for months, I finally started the IVF process. I only had 2 viable fertilized eggs to transfer after the process was done. One egg was better than the other. I had both transferred and ended up with a healthy baby 8 months later.
I would like to say that no matter what, there is always hope. We decided before the procedure that we would only try IVF one time. We were prepared if it did not work but were hopeful that it would. There were 10 other women at the doctors office going through IVF at the same time. 8 out of 10 of us got pregnant.
