Success Story: Scared And Confused
Hi everyone, I am 37 years old, and my husband is 36 years old. We have been together 17 years and married 4 years, we have no children. I have had 3 ectopic pregnancies, one in 1994, 1996 & 1998. My OB-GYN suggested that if I wanted a baby that my best option would be IVF. After research, found out that IVF was very pricey. My husband's insurance did not cover at the time. So, after a lot of praying of a way to pay for this, God stepped in and answered my prayers. My husband's job changed insurance companies and this one would cover 80%.of the cost, (Thank you God). I had been seeing my infertility specialist for almost all of 2007, there were cysts on/in my ovaries, so he told me that my chances of getting pregant dropped in comparison to my age in which at the time I was 36. So, I told him that I wanted to give a shot anyway. He also asked if I would consider egg donors and I told him no, so I was placed on the list for December 2007. It was not clear as to exactly how I was supposed to handle all of this, it was so confusing, but I knew once I got started that God would help me through it, but unfortunalely as God's will it has been pushed back. I did not have my medicine to start on Thanksgiving Day, so that threw me for a loop, so I called my doctors office to start the next cycle which is supposed to be January. I wish I had someone that is/are getting ready to go through IVF to talk to/with me about their experiece so far.
Please keep us in your prayers. Thanks.
