Success Story: Keeping The Faith!
My husband and I had been trying to get pregnant for 4 years when I was diagnosed with PCOS. A co-worker then referred me to a feritlity speicalist at IVF FLORIDA. I must say they are absolutely the best. I conceived within my first month of treatment in November 2006 using Clomid followed by Gonal-f and Ovidrel injections. The first 12 weeks we were praying that I would make it through the first trimester. Once I turned 13 weeks, I really started to breathe easy. On March 26th I found out that I was having a girl: Jaylin Renay. I was so excited, it was the moment I had dreamed of for so long. On April 7, 2007 my husband rushed me to the nearest ER with vaginal bleeding. My cervix had started to dilate. I was hooked up to a fetal monitor and she was doing great. Her heart rate was fine, and she was doing a lot of kicking. Too make a long story short, I went into preterm labor at 22 1/2 weeks and my beautiful baby girl was delivered by emergency C-secction weighing only 1lb & 4 oz. She lived for 3 days. My diagnosis so far is an incompetent cervix and placenta abruption. It has been very hard to make it through each day, knowing that she was no longer in my stomach growing and getting stronger everyday. I leave it all in God's hands, and know that she is with him. I have faith that He will send my husband and I the child we have longed for. I plan on going back to IVF.
