This is my first forum and I am looking for hope. I just started experiencing intense cramping and some spotting today. It is exactly a week after my transfer. Just need some words of encouragment that it is the just the embryo implanting in the uterus. I am loosing hope becuase we have been going through countless procedures for the past three years. This is my first IVF and I had 4 failed IUI's. Help!

Cramping is normal. I had my 5-day IVF trnsfr done in Dec 2014. This was my 2nd IVF attempt. I felt period like cramping starting on day 5 past trnsfr. Had blood test done on day 10 - it came out BFP. The next day in the evening I suddenly felt such a strong pain that I had to lay down. The pain lasted several minutes. It was so bad I thought I was having a miscarriage, I was sweating. My husband gave me a painkiller. I was ready to go to the hospital, but the pain stopped in a few minutes. Nine months later I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. She just turned two months last week. My advise to all hopeful women going through IVF - try to not stress out and drive yourself crazy while waiting for the results even in situations like that. I know it is hard not to worry, especially when you feel discomfort as you may think something may be wrong, but try to think of it this way - it is more helpful for the embryo to implant if you stay calm than if you stress out. Best of luck to all going through IVF!
