I already posted a brief hello above but will formally introduce myself.
My name is Mindy, and I'm 31. Dh, 32, and I have been ttc our second child for just over a year.
It all started when we were ttc our first child. I suffered a missed miscarriage at 10 weeks but went on to get pg again and deliver a beautiful son in August of 04. When DS was 9 months old, we started our quest to have another baby. We were able to get pg fairly easily but suffered three early losses within 6 months. i went back on the pill in December.
shortly after, my doctors discovered that I had the early stages of cervical cancer. it was removed in march and i've had a clean bill of health since.
Back in october of 2005, I was diagnosed with a disorder known as lichen schlerosis. It's an auto immune disorder that breaks down the skin of the vulva, causing tears and splits and eventually fusion of the labia. it usually occurs in menopausal women, but i'm the lucky one who's gotten it pre-menopause.
At any rate, we started seeing an RE just two weeks ago. Since then, I've undergone numerous tests and screenings. Thus far, the doctor has discovered that I may suffer from two different clotting disorders, including MTHFR. he also thinks that he may have seen a septate in my uterus during my our initial ultrasound.
I'll be having laproscopy and hysteroscopy at the end of February. After that, we will prepare for IUI.
i'm so excited to get the ball rolling. I'm very ready add on to our happy little family.
I'm thankful to have found this site and am looking forward to getting to know you all.
