Hi everyone I dont know where to start. I just finished IVF cycle 1 and we were suppose to have our day 5 transfer this morning. We had 8 eggs retrieved 2 were not mature and 3 fertilized. the last report we got was that we had one 8 cell embryo and one 10 cell the other was alittle slow at 4 cells. five minutes before we got to the office my doctor call and said that they didnt grow anymore and we did not have a good quality embryo to transfer. I had prepared myself that this may not work but I never imagined that we wouldnt get to transfer because of the good report. I am devistated and feel a little blindsided. I am 33 my husband is 42. Has anyone ever had this happen before? The doctor is telling me that we need to get more eggs and that she doesnt think its genetic so what does that mean?
