Hello! This is my first time on this site which I've sought out due to frustration with our donor ovum process. We are currently on our NINTH donor; all our previous choices have fallen through due to pregnancy, development of serious health issues, moving, failed screening, JUST matched minutes before we called, changing her mind, etc, etc.... Our current donor (and we're two weeks away from starting meds) was just diagnosed with acute CMV infection. Ugh! Is this the norm, are we just unlucky, or is this a sign that we shouldn't be doing this??? What have others experienced with the process? Thanks!
