I have had 2 healthy pregnancy and have had 2 miscarriages now. One at 17 weeks and 1 and 5 weeks. After my first miscarriage the doc did a bunch of test and found out I am positive with Anticardiolipin antibody, MTHFR C677T, and PAI-1. Went to a specialist and she explained it some and put me on 4mg of folic acid and a baby asprin and said I would start heprin shots once a day once they found a heartbeat for my next pregnancy. The next pregnancy didnt make it to a heartbeat. Now I am just so scared about trying again. The early loss wasnt near as hard as the late loss because with the 17 week loss I got to hold my son. Having faith in God really helped me through it. I just dont know a whole lot about these disorders. I have had no trouble ever getting pregnant first try everytime. Do any of these disorders put my life at risk? I have 2 healthy little girls and would love to add 1 more child to our family but am worried something could happen to me. Can anyone explain them to me

I have the MTHFR C677T mutation. I've never miscarried but have had 2 high-risk pregnancies with blood-clot (DVT)and pulmonary embolism complications. I delivered one single baby and then one set of twins...all healthy and in their twenties now. Once I tested positive for the gene mutation, my sisters were tested & found 3 of the 4 girls have it as well as their female children. We've never had the males tested because their risks aren't as high as women's during pregnancy or birth control. I take a blood thinner daily & have bloodwork done once a month, plus folic acid/B-12. No complications since then, but was told I should have taken aspirin back then so I could have avoided blood-thinners now. It's something to watch, especially if you ever have leg pain or chest pain, but you still can be a healthy, happy mother.
