Success Story: Have 1 And Want 1 More
My story starts almost 9 years ago. My husband and I got married in 2000 and did nothing to prevent pregnancy. About 3 years into our marriage I started seeing a specialist who diagnosed me with PCOS. My biggest hurdle was that I was obese. After trying several ways to loose the weight I decided to have gastric bypass surgery. In Novemer 2004 I had the surgery and was told to wait 2 years before trying to conceive. At this point I was 31 years old. I actually got pregnant in August of 2005 and had an ectopic pregnancy. I had to have one tube removed. Now my chances is even slimmer. After meeting with the specialist again in April 2006 we decided to try IUI. After figuring out the correct dosage for me we conceived our little girl. She was born in January 2007 and we could not have been happier. The plan was to try to have another asap since I turned 34 right after my daughter was born. I ended up having another ectopic pregnancy in January of 2008 and had to have my other tube removed. Through all of this I have held on the belief that what God has for me is for me. With that in mind my husband and will start IVF treatment in January 2009.(had to get the insurance in order) I am hoping it will work for us but if it does not then it was not meant to be. We have 1 little sweetie and we are very thankful for her.
