Did you take an HPT before your Beta?

Hi Everyone!

Just a quick question in the name of crazy 2ww research! ;)

Since we spend so much of our time agonizing over whether to take an HPT and whether the results are right, maybe those of you who have been there, done that can keep us newbies from losing our minds...OOPS, too late!!!

Hello,

Well I dont know if this post is old or not, but I am in the 2ww and beta is tomorrow. Yesterday morning I woke up spotting, dark brown. I panic, I cried sooo much. Then I decided to end that pain and went to by a HPT. Negative, but by then I did not have more tears to cry.
I call the doctor this morning and she said it was too early since my transfer was on May-19, and yesterday was day 10.
I feel my period is coming any time. Its said.

FeCC,

Thank you for responding to this post. I don't know why no one is answering me...we all go crazy during the 2ww! I took several HPTs and they were all bfn, beta was bfn, too. I hope the spotting for you means something different, but if your test is negative just remember it is not the end. I didn't think I would recover from the disappointment, but I did. You will be stronger after this journey than you have ever been in your life. And when you do have a baby, however it comes to you, you will care for him or her with the devotion that only comes from the struggle to get 'em. Good luck!
