Hi,

My husband and I have been TTC for 5 years. We have tried chlomid 3x and no ovulatioin. I just finished Gonal F 300 IU at 75 IU per day for 5 days. Today I went in for my third ultrasound and now have 7 mature follies. Now with the chance of 7 babies, I find myself very frustrated as we have to stop everthing and try again next month will a smaller dose. I guess I am just looking for some encouragement and hopefully some success stories from a similar process. Anyone???

Van, sorry you are frustrated. Personally, I am in a similar position, but suffering from secondary infertility & had to take this cycle off from starting our 1st IUI because I had a residual cyst from the previous cycle, in my left ovary...

Insurance will cover 100% of any IUIs for the rest of this calendar year, since our deductible has been met, so I'm doubly frustrated, since we could have had at least 3 cycles to try IUI....

I would encourage you to check the sounding board posts for more women going through IUI &/or IVF & having problems, etc..... there's a bunch of us on here regularly, so just check the most frequent posting dates & keep asking for support, encouragement and direction.

Remember, God is faithful.

Hi,

Thanks for your advice, I will definetly look into the sounding board posts.

From my understanding, residual cysts usually disappear within a month or two but I know that the length of time before starting the next cycle can seem like forever. It can be so difficult when you think "finally, this time its going to work" and then you have to stop everything and wait another long month before trying again.

Hopefully for you, you can start your next cycle and have a successful IUI before the end of the year and not have to worry at all about insurance in the new year.

I am really trying to stay positive and praying that we can do IUI next cycle with success! At least now I know that my body will respond to Gonal F.

love, blessings and baby dust to you too!!
