I was diagnosed with an ectopic pregnancy with my levels topping out at almost 2000. I was given the metho shot on Tuesday. I was spotting/bleeding before then and continued for another 5 days. I have not passed many clots and the bleeding seemed to taper off. I have not had any cramps either. Does this indicate the shot is not working? Or can it be working and I am done bleeding? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

The effectiveness of you methotrexate treatment can only be determined by measuring serial hCG levels to a non pregnant range.
