Long lupron vs microdose lupron

Hi Dr.
What's the main difference between these two protocols? I was put on long lupron in my first cycle, didn't bring about pregnancy, dr suggests microdose lupron with lesser amount of medication the 2nd cycle.

I use a micro-dose flare protocol for my patients whose ovaries do not respond well to the laong Lupron protocol. In normal responders, the micro-dose flare protocol can cause an excessive response.
