Injecting your abdomen is the best due to the rate of absorption. It sux, but from what I know, it is the best spot. Do it slowly and you can ask your doctor for a numbing cream. i go next week to my specialist. I don't want to get pregnant, until I have a game plan. I don't want a 4th miscarriage. My heart can't take it. :(

Thanks for the quick reply Trying Again. I totally understand how you feel. I just have to stay positive with this one or I'll go nuts with anxiety. My DH is nervous also. I swtiched doctors after my last experience. My previous was supposedly rated #1 in the state but he was so arrogant. I had to beg him to test my progesterone which he never did and finally put me on prometrium at 5 weeks 2 days, which now I know is too late. He kept saying endo was my problem and that we should just wait and see. He was such a jerk when at 6w 1 day we went for a 2nd u/s and there was no heartbeat. He wanted to schedule the d&c right away.

I would also ask about bed rest, a question I have is about delivery. They will induce you, so you will have to ask how early they will do that and if you have to have a vaginal delivery or c-section.

WEll i have been in all of you boats more then once. I have been pregnante 6 times. With once healthy child. I had 3 m/c b4 my daughter who is 2 1/2 yrs old and 2 since her. We are once again trying again now. I have to go through the whole fertility thing to get pregnant. I do progestrone and lovenox to stay pregnant. Everyone of my m/c were at 10-14 weeks. Just for piece of mind scappinheather at 6 weeks you usually dont have much syptoms of pregnancy, except for peeing and possibly vomitting.

Good luck everyone. I'm not at 11 1/2 weeks and I don't have my next u/s for 2 more weeks. I had one at 8 weeks and everything was great. I must say this whole early pregnancy thing is very nerve racking, esp. when you don't have a lot of pregnancy symptoms :-)

I Had a healthy baby 2 years ago while taking heparin throughout my entire pregnancy. I am pregnant again and this time I will be taking Lovenox. My specialist told me I can give myself a shot wherever I can pinch skin (my stomach, thigh or the back of my arm). For the first pregnancy I did most shots in my stomach, but by the end I ran out of space and had to switch to my thighs because I was doing two shot a day. Whatever works for her. The pain did not decrease when I did it in my thighs. good luck!

christina- from what Ive read and studied, lovenox is actually supposed to HELP with conception. Particularly the implantation process. So even if you get a fertilized egg and it doesnt implant, you wont get pregnant, but the lovenox helps the situation by preventing clotting at the implantation site. Nowhere have I seen anything about making it harder to concieve. try to stick with it, Im sure it sucks to be so frustrated.

I just came off of Lovenox. I'm almost to term with my first. No issues at all, everything is going well, after the doctors found that I too had a DVT.
