Killer Fats Linked to Infertility - 06/08/2007
Trans fatty acids, which are commonly used in fried and snack foods, have been connected to an increased risk of infertility, reinforcing the link between fertility and diet.
In addition, trans fats have also been linked to asthma, high cholesterol levels and an increased risk of heart disease.
Already banned in Denmark, individuals are calling for these fats to banned in their own countries.
Trans fatty acids are used to increase the shelf life of a product as well as to facilitate the cooking process.
