Effects of Lead Exposure on Fertility - 12/20/2007
Exposure to lead is unsafe for everyone, particularly for pregnant women and young children, shows a report from the Lamar Ledger. According to the report, children exposed to lead may harm their nervous system, kidneys, and hearings. As well as, lead exposure may lead to cognitive difficulties, such as learning disabilities and attention deficit disorder and produce reduced language abilities and bone growth.
Similarly, pregnant women exposed to lead may seriously harm their unborn baby. As well as, a high lead exposure can cause infertility in both men and women, along with high blood pressure, nerve disorders, and a list of other problems.
Doctors advise that you should test the lead content in your water at home and avoid drinking from lead glazed pottery or lead crystal glasses. If you feel like you have been exposed lead, seek medical intervention immediately.
