Courtship Dancing Related to Fertility? - 10/10/2007
Researchers from the University of New Mexico have found an interesting correlation between how much lap dancers earn and their menstrual cycle. Researchers asked lap dancers to fill out an online questionnaire about their working hours, earnings, and menstrual cycle. They found that the women earned an average of $70 an hour during their most
fertile(oestrous) phase of their menstrual cycle compared to an average of $35 during their non-fertile (luteal) phase.
This study suggests that men can unconsciously tell when a woman is the most fertile, although it could also mean that women may unconsciously act more flirtatious when they’re most fertile. Similarly, other studies by psychologists have found that women who went out to clubs during their most fertile phase of their menstrual cycle tended to wear more revealing clothes than women who were not in their fertile phase.
